Ultimate expedition into Sumatra’s tropical wilderness.

For the adventurous at heart, our 6 Days Jungle Trekking is the ultimate expedition into Sumatra’s tropical wilderness. This in-depth trek takes you far off the beaten path, deep into the core of the jungle where few tourists venture. You’ll follow ancient wildlife trails, set up camp in remote areas, and witness the raw beauty of the rainforest at its most untouched. Your journey includes multiple river crossings, scenic viewpoints, and opportunities for true wildlife tracking. Perfect for seasoned trekkers and nature lovers, this tour offers a rare chance to disconnect, reflect, and reconnect with nature in its purest form.

Itinerary :

Day one: Your jungle adventure begins at 8:30 AM after breakfast, your guides will pick you up. Trek through the jungle where you might see orangutans, gibbons and various monkeys. Look out for hornbills and the great argus (Sumatran peacock). Your guide will tell you about the plants, animals and how some plants are used for medicine. You’ll reach your campsite by afternoon, enjoy dinner cooked by jungle chefs and sleep surrounded by the sounds of the jungle. Expect about 5-6 hours of walking.

Day two: More wildlife on the second day, trek for 4-5 hours. You may see more animals like wild orangutans and the black gibbon. With a bit of luck, you might even spot tiger tracks or a tiger from a safe distance. Arrive at your campsite by late afternoon, relax by the Landak river and enjoy a swim and dinner.

Day three: Lake views today, you’ll visit a mineral lake where many animals come to drink. Watch them from a distance and see them in their natural habitat. Camp near by the lake for the night.

Day four: After breakfast you’ll spot the animals and trek to the final campsite. Keep an eye out for more wildlife and if you’re lucky, you might see elephants. Arrive by late afternoon and stay at this campsite for two nights to observe animals.

Day five: Salt lake and river fun in the morning, visit another salt lake to look for tigers or Sumatran elephants. After breakfast back at camp, you can either continue wildlife watching or learn how to catch fish in the river.

Day six: The last adventure day, wake up to the jungle sounds and have breakfast by the river. Float down the river on rubber tubes with your jungle crew back to Bukit Lawang
